The VidnovyDIM program launched with defined minimum requirements for windows and doors

On November 21, 2022, the first pilot phase of the VidnovyDIM program began to operate. This was reported by the press centre of the Energy Efficiency Fund. VidnovyDIM is a new program of the Fund for the rapid restoration of houses affected by russia's military aggression against Ukraine.

EUR 5 million was allocated for restoring the first house under the program.

Now co-owners in Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions can >become participants of the program (ua)↗️.

The list of eligible measures for the replacement of windows and doors contains minimum technical conditions and maximum work cost.

So, the minimum requirements for windows and balconies are


A double-leaf PVC window measuring 1.45x1.45 m with these characteristics has a heat transfer resistance of 0.67 m2K/W.

This window does not meet the requirements of ДБН B.2.6-31: 2021. The minimum allowable value of the reduced heat transfer resistance for the areas in which the program is valid should be 0.90 m2K/W.
This requirement is overcome by a 1.45x1.45 m window with a 70 mm frame and a double-glazed unit, 40 mm thickness, two energy-efficient glasses and filled with inert gas - R = 1.05 m2K/W.

Minimum requirements for entrance doors:
Works and materials must not exceed the following:
70% of the total grant amount is paid by the Fund after approval of the application from co-owners. The second tranche is transferred upon completion of the work, which should last no longer than six months.
