The Ukrainian translation of the "Manual for planning and montaging the installation of windows and doors" will be the version of 2024 instead of 2020

In January 2024, the project of the Ukrainian translation of the 2020 version of the "Manual to Planning and Installation of Windows and Doors for New Construction and Renovation" was launched. And after the presentation of the new edition of the RAL installation guide at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2024, the Ukrainian team decided to translate and print the updated version.

As Mykhailo Orlenko, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Association of Windows, Doors and Facades, notes: "Despite the fact that our team has already translated and technically edited about half of the 2020 version of the book, we decided that the relevance of new information for professionals in our industry outweighs all other arguments. Therefore, we decided to work on the latest version, which was presented last week."

Major updates for 2024:

• Installation of windows in multi-storey wooden buildings;
• New sections on dismantling, recycling and reuse;
• Additions to the section on installation planning;
• Expansion of information on waterproofing of joints;
• Updating the standards of building physics;
• Improvements to the sound insulation of window tapes;
• Additional information on fixing extensions;
• French balconies and their safety;
• Liquid membranes as a new sealing system;
• Examples of connections in 3D format.

The publication was originally scheduled for September 2024. However, the decision made adjustments to the cost and timing of the project. The new release date for the Ukrainian version will be announced later.
