Fire-resistant glass from AGC Glass Europe received a burglary resistance certificate from ift Rosenheim

The float glass manufacturer AGC Glass Europe tested fire-resistant glass for burglary resistance. The Window Technology Institute ift Rosenheim conducted tests on Pyrobel glass. The company plans to offer suppliers fire protection and burglary protection in one glass product.
As reported by the company, the tests showed:
- Pyrobel 16 SPS with a thickness of 24 mm and a fire resistance class of EI30 achieved class P4A EN 356. The glass can be used for making doors with burglary resistance class RC2.

They can be used for making structures with burglary resistance class RC3.
- Pyrobel 16 SPS with a thickness of 36 mm was tested for burglary resistance using axe impact tests. It received a classification of P6B and can be used in doors of class RC4.
Pyrobel constructions can be used indoors for fire-resistant doors and partitions.
