Geze has introduced a modular sliding door system, specially designed for use in environments with airtightness requirements. These include operating rooms and intensive care areas in hospitals, laboratories or rooms in research institutions, as well as in the food and chemical industries.

The Geze MCRdrive is modular and consists of a closer and a leaf system, including a profile and seals. Airtightness is achieved by lowering and pressing the door leaf against the frame. The width is optimized for hospital use and ranges from 800 mm to a maximum of 2500 mm. With a maximum weight of 200 kilograms for the moving leaf, versions made of glass, HPL panel, and stainless steel are available. The doors can be opened hygienically using door opening sensors, buttons, or motion detectors.

As the company notes, the MCRdrive meets the airtightness requirements for interior doors according to DIN EN 12207 for interior doors. The noise protection is 37 dB according to EN 4109.
