The state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" has been expanded. Now, preferential loans can be used to purchase gas-powered generation units. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the resolution on June 18, 2024.
Entrepreneurs can use loan funds to finance the construction and installation of gas turbine, gas piston, and biogas generation units.
The maximum amount is up to 150 million UAH for up to 10 years.
The "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" program also provides the opportunity to purchase solar and wind power plants and equipment for energy storage.
The government hopes to increase domestic electricity production and thus develop the market for small distributed generation.
