ASSA ABLOY announced plans to acquire SKIDATA from Kudelski Group. SKIDATA is an international supplier of access control systems for airports, office buildings, hospitals, hotels, stadiums, and more.

This partnership is expected to open new growth opportunities in Europe, North America, and other global markets by leveraging the complementary strengths of both companies.

"SKIDATA's commitment to secure, reliable access solutions and excellent customer service aligns perfectly with our values, and I am confident that together we will continue our successful path," commented Massimo Grassi, Executive Vice President of ASSA ABLOY.

SKIDATA will operate as a separate business unit under its own brand.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval. ASSA ABLOY expects to complete the deal by the third quarter of 2024.
