The door lock brand FUHR showcased its "future-oriented" products at the international exhibition BAU 2025. Among the highlights was the SmartTouch handle for entrance doors, offering keyless access via smartphone.

Initially, FUHR's keyless access door handles operated on the same principle as car doors. Later, a version without an activation button was launched, requiring only the SmartTouch transponder to be carried, such as in a bag.

Now, in approximately Q2 2025, FUHR plans to release SmartTouch handles compatible with SmartAccess. This feature turns any smartphone into a key for effortless control of FUHR motorized locks. With SmartAccess, doors can be unlocked simply by approaching with a smartphone.

SmartAccess uses Bluetooth technology to unlock doors without relying on the internet or cloud connections.

The technology is discreetly integrated into the handle and door, leaving no additional visible components that might impact the design. As highlighted by VFF, entrance doors are durable products that transcend short-term design trends, yet digitalization increasingly shapes their aesthetic.

FUHR’s SmartTouch steel handles are compatible with FUHR autotronic 834 and multitronic 881 locks.
