Turkish glass group Şişecam increased its sales in 2024 despite global economic challenges. The company’s consolidated revenue reached 186 billion Turkish lira (approximately €5.5 billion), with international sales accounting for 59%.

Şişecam exported products worth around €920 million and invested approximately 30 billion Turkish lira (about €900 million) in strategic projects.
The company has production facilities in Ukraine, but they specialise in glass packaging.

On one hand, the global construction industry grew by 2.7% in 2024. On the other hand, CEO Görkem Elverici noted that the company faced inflationary pressure, currency fluctuations in Turkey, high interest rates, and geopolitical risks. The economic slowdown in China and Europe’s sluggish recovery from the energy crisis also had an impact.

In 2025, the company will celebrate its 90th anniversary. The priority for 2025 is increasing volumes. "In 2025, we remain focused on growth and creating additional value for our shareholders," said Elverici.
