A new professional standard for façade and transparent structure installers added to the qualifications register

In March 2025, the professional standards "Installer of ventilated curtain façades and transparent structures" and "Senior installer of ventilated curtain façades and transparent structures" (code 7139) were officially added to the Qualifications Register. The standards were developed by BARKS LLC.

These standards define a profession that covers the full scope of work — from preparing openings and layout to installation, insulation, sealing, quality control and project handover. The listed tasks include installation of façades, window-door and curtain wall systems, skylights, as well as fitting hardware and suspended elements.

The standards are expected to serve as a foundation for developing training programmes and educational standards, enabling the preparation of qualified specialists for the industry.

The profession corresponds to several types of economic activity, including:

• other construction and specialised building works (NACE 43.29, 43.99)
• completion of construction projects (43.39)
• mechanical treatment of metal products (25.62)
• production of metal doors, windows and structures (25.11, 25.12)

As a reminder, in September 2024, the Association of Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures announced the development of professional standards for training specialists in the field of transparent structures.
