At the BAU 2025 exhibition, the Giesse brand (part of Quanex) introduced a new three-leaf Proxima hinge for aluminium entrance doors. This was announced by the company's press office.
Its main feature is the slim profile: the diameter is only 18 mm. This design is ideal for modern architecture where minimalist aesthetics are key.
The Proxima hinge is designed for heavy doors and can withstand loads of up to 160 kg. It ensures durability under intensive use, with a lifespan of 200,000 opening and closing cycles (CE certificate according to EN 1935:2004, class 13).
The 3D adjustment mechanism (height, pressure, and lateral displacement) allows easy adjustment of the hinge after door installation. All adjustments can be made by one person using an Allen key. This reduces installation and maintenance time, as well as costs.
Proxima is suitable for profiles with Euro and R grooves, and offers over 20 finishing options to suit various facade styles.
