Schüco presented the Minimal Wall concept at the BAU 2025 exhibition. The system enables up to 40% reduction in the use of aluminium profiles in façades, according to the official website of Schüco. The innovation is aimed at reducing the carbon footprint by optimising materials in façade system manufacturing.
Minimal Wall utilises advanced glass-to-aluminium bonding technology that enhances the structural capacity without increasing material use. This allows for slimmer aluminium profiles while maintaining strength and reliability. The system supports the integration of standard insulating glass units, preserving full functionality, including opaque elements and cantilevered structures.
Reducing aluminium in profile systems significantly lowers CO₂ emissions during the production of façade structures, making Minimal Wall an attractive solution for companies aiming for sustainability and energy efficiency in the window market.
It is worth noting that Glas Troesch also presented its ultra-thin glass insulating unit at BAU 2025.
