The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU). Within the framework of this partnership, the parties will update the Master’s programme in “Local Self-Government”, adding a new module — “Energy-Efficient Territorial Development”. This will help prepare specialists who will implement energy efficiency policies at the local level — in communities and regions.

Head of the Agency, Hanna Zamazieieva, emphasised: “This is an example of how theory and practice can come together to strengthen the country’s energy independence. Even today, our cooperation with the University is deep, fruitful, and meaningful.”

The curriculum covers topics such as energy-efficient governance, efficient use of energy resources, and sustainable territorial development — highly relevant for the construction and window sectors, especially in the context of public building upgrades and residential thermal modernisation.

The Memorandum also provides for:

As part of the cooperation, Agency experts are already involved in the educational process: delivering lectures, conducting seminars, and serving as experts.
