Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH has announced that the Roto NX | TiltFirst technology allows the combination of mechanical protection against unwanted opening with electronic monitoring of the window’s status. This ensures child safety, protection against intruders, and the possibility of integration into modern smart home systems.

Mechanical protection is provided by the fact that with the TiltFirst locked handle the sash can only be opened in the tilt position. A key is required for full opening. This function is particularly useful in children’s rooms, hospitals, hotels, and other public buildings.

Electronic monitoring is possible through sensors from the Roto Com-Tec range, which check whether the window is closed and transmit the data to a smartphone or tablet. They support the EnOcean protocol, making integration into common smart home systems easy. Three sensor versions are available – from basic position monitoring to the detection of vibrations during burglary attempts.

Additional options are offered by the Roto E-Tec Control | MVS systems for connection to an alarm system and Roto E-Tec Control | MTS, which help save energy by automatically adjusting heating and air conditioning when windows are tilted for ventilation.

The TiltFirst technology and electronic components are compatible with all Roto NX hinge variants, including concealed and reinforced versions for heavy sashes. Retrofitting of already installed windows with Roto NX fittings is also possible.

On the Ukrainian market, besides Roto, fittings with the “tilt before turn” option are also offered by AXOR, Winkhaus, Siegenia, and VORNE.
