According to EFI Group, NovaSklo has concluded an agreement with Pilkington Technology Management Limited (NSG Group) – a global leader in glass manufacturing. Under the arrangement, NSG will provide engineering support during the construction of a float glass production line in Kyiv region.
The founder of NovaSklo and the investment company EFI Group, Igor Liski, emphasised that cooperation with Pilkington would allow international expertise to be engaged for the implementation of Ukraine’s largest reconstruction project: “Today, as we are implementing the largest reconstruction project in Ukraine, it is crucially important for us to attract the best international expertise. I am convinced that our cooperation is an important step towards ensuring technological excellence in our production and the development of the country’s construction industry.”
NSG Group engineers will provide consultancy at all stages of the project: from design to the commissioning of the plant. The production will comply with international standards of energy efficiency, safety, and sustainable development. The project plans include the integration of carbon footprint control systems, modern energy management systems, and occupational safety standards.
The Director of Architectural Glass NSG Group, Leopoldo Castiella, stressed: “Our agreement is a great example of the global industry’s technological development support for Ukrainian enterprises. It is important for us to share expertise, to help introduce the best technologies, and to provide consultancy for the launch and efficient operation of such a large-scale enterprise.”
The launch of the plant will enable Ukraine to establish its own glass production, reduce dependence on imports, and create more than 300 jobs in the region.
