Deventer, part of the Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH holding, has completed the development of a new external seal, DS 7354c, for timber-aluminium windows. The product will be presented at Fensterbau Frontale 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The company has developed a co-extruded profile made of two types of silicone. The seal provides tightness at the junction between the aluminium cladding and the glass with a gap of up to 6.5 mm.

For reliable sealing, the glass must be precisely positioned in the profile. The internal seal usually compensates for insulating glass unit tolerances. As a result, manufacturers keep profiles of different thicknesses in stock. DS 7354c makes it possible to accommodate tolerances from the external side as well and simplifies the glazing process.

The seal head is made of flexible silicone foam. The material maintains stable contact pressure under increasing load. The seal hardly protrudes and preserves the neat appearance of the frame.

The development of the tooling for seal production was a complex stage. The company notes that the profile opens up new possibilities for dry glazing in timber windows.
Managing Director of Deventer Profile GmbH, Mike Piqeur, states that during a customer-commissioned study the company developed a product concept with significant potential for the sector. According to him, timber window manufacturers are looking for dry glazing solutions that enable automation both in production and on site.

DS 7354c is suitable for use on construction sites at any temperature. This facilitates the glazing of curtain wall façades after delivery to site. The product is also used when replacing seals in timber-aluminium windows with dry glazing. It is easy to insert into corners and incorporates an anti-stretch cord. Installation can be carried out manually or mechanically.

DS 7354c is already available in black and grey.
