Gretsch-Unitas has announced the presentation of a new restrictor for the inactive leaf at Fensterbau Frontale 2026. The company states that this innovation resolves a common issue with double-leaf balcony and patio doors featuring a barrier-free threshold — the inactive leaf can now be closed conveniently and securely.

The company has developed a patented mechanism for timber and uPVC rebated doors.
When closing, integrated magnets activate the stop. The leaf assumes a precise position and does not wobble after closing.
In the open position, springs retract the stop. The mechanism does not scratch the floor or damage the surface finish.

The system can be installed in already fitted doors.

The product has been nominated for the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE Innovation Award and is among the 13 finalists.
