The Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures (UMTS) announced its intention to establish the second WindowED Academy training and practical centre in Dnipro. UMTS reported this following a working meeting held at the Dnipro Centre for Vocational Education and Training (DCVET).
During the meeting, representatives of the association and DCVET signed a memorandum of cooperation. Representatives of Axioma, Prisma-TS and Winkhaus Ukraine also took part in the meeting. Businesses plan to support the creation of the training base, contribute to the practical training of students and facilitate stronger links between training and the labour market.
The training and practical centre in Dnipro will be financed by DCVET, UMTS and the association’s partners.
For 2026–2028, UMTS has announced the creation of a network of WindowED Academy training and practical centres in key regions of Ukraine — Kyiv, Dnipro, Chernivtsi and Kharkiv.
At present, the project to equip a training classroom at the Chernivtsi Professional Construction Lyceum has been deprioritised in favour of establishing the training and practical centre in Dnipro. At the same time, the development of the installer training system continues in Chernivtsi. The Chernivtsi Professional Construction Lyceum has already opened enrolment for the speciality “installer-assembler of metal-plastic structures” for graduates of the 11th grade. The duration of the programme is one year.
