SIEGENIA has announced the launch of its new lift-and-slide drive, DRIVE axxent LS smart, which integrates into smart home systems via the Matter standard and expands automation capabilities for large-scale constructions. The product will be presented at the international trade fair Fensterbau Frontale 2026.
The new drive is fully concealed within the sash and does not alter the appearance of the construction. It moves lift-and-slide elements weighing up to 400 kg quickly and quietly. All components are battery-powered and remain invisible — only the control button is visible externally.
SIEGENIA has retained the core concept of the previous DRIVE axxent LS version — maximum integration without modifications to the profile system. Manufacturers can use standard PVC, timber or aluminium solutions without extending frames or adding extra covers. Installation follows a plug-and-play principle and takes around 20 minutes without requiring an electrician.
The key difference of the new version is integration into digital building systems. Thanks to the Matter standard, the drive connects to Apple, Google or Amazon ecosystems and operates as part of centralised control. Users can remotely open or close sashes, check their status, and configure ventilation or security scenarios.
Thus, the drive evolves from a standalone comfort feature into a component of building automation. While the previous version addressed the movement of heavy sashes, DRIVE axxent LS smart adds control functions and interaction with other systems.
In Europe, such products align with the trend of integrating windows and doors into smart home environments. In Ukraine, demand is still more focused on mechanical and comfort solutions, but the automation segment is gradually growing, especially in premium projects.
The DRIVE axxent LS smart version with Matter support will be available on the German market from April 2026.
