Swisspacer has introduced Frame:racer — a service for fully automated insertion of spacer frames in the insulating glass unit production process.

Insulating glass manufacturers are operating under increasing pressure: limited space, higher speed requirements, and the need for stable, predictable processes. Frame:racer covers the entire cycle — from profile feeding and frame assembly to filling — in a single continuous and precisely coordinated process chain.

The key advantage of the service is a production time of under 20 seconds per frame. Thanks to a high level of technological intelligence, Swisspacer spacer profiles pass through several precisely coordinated stations. Where previously up to four operators were required, one is now sufficient. An integrated software-controlled cutting system reduces material waste.

Frame:racer operates exclusively with Swisspacer spacer profiles and is capable of running autonomously for several hours. The service is compatible with various line concepts and delivers reproducible quality at high production rates.

Swisspacer also retains flexibility in how spacer profiles are processed: depending on the line logic, they can be plugged, welded, or warm-bent.

Swisspacer positions Frame:racer as an extension of its own service portfolio. The company is part of the French Saint-Gobain Group and specialises in warm-edge spacer profiles for insulating glass units.
