Forster Profile Systems has announced an expansion of the capabilities of the Forster Presto XS steel system by adding sliding doors and new fire protection options.

The company has introduced non-insulated sliding doors with manual or automatic operation. The design features narrow profiles only 23 mm wide, enabling discreet and aesthetically refined solutions for public and private spaces with high architectural requirements. The system ensures smooth and stable operation thanks to a bottom guide with reduced noise levels. The manufacturer positions this option for high-traffic areas where thermal insulation is not a key requirement.

The sliding doors can be combined with doors and fixed glazing from the Presto XS series, as well as with the Forster Unico XS system, expanding design possibilities.

In the field of passive fire protection, the company has added doors with fire resistance classes E/EW 30 and 60, as well as smoke protection Sa and S200. The manufacturer has maintained a minimalist appearance through narrow visible profiles and flush or single-plane design options. These systems are primarily intended for interior applications in buildings with high requirements for safety and transparency.

Previously, the Forster Presto XS range was complemented by pivot doors for interiors, characterised by versatility and contemporary design.

The company also uses low-carbon steel and recyclable materials, aiming to reduce environmental impact and achieve climate neutrality by 2030.

Swiss-based Forster Profile Systems operates in the segment of steel systems for transparent structures and complements the Reynaers Aluminium portfolio in this area.
