Winkhaus has presented the semi-automatic lock hookLock HA for entrance doors. The system combines enhanced security with automatic compression sealing of the door leaf. The lock was presented to industry professionals at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2026.
The core of the lock consists of two solid chromium-steel hooks that engage deeply into the strike plate upon locking, securely fixing the door leaf within the frame. In the fully extended position, the hooks are protected against being forced back.
In addition to mechanical protection, the hookLock HA features two automatic sealing elements — at the top and bottom of the door leaf. These keep the door tightly closed even without key actuation, reducing draughts and helping to retain warmth inside the room.
The system operates on a combination of a latch, an auxiliary latch, and hooks — ensuring the door closes tightly immediately upon pulling shut, requiring only a light turn of the key for final locking.
The strike plates allow individual adjustment of the compression force for each sealing element and hook separately. As an optional extra, a daytime latch enables the door to be opened without a key. This element can also be fitted retrospectively, after the lock has already been installed. A dedicated safety feature prevents the bolts from extending inadvertently.
The hookLock HA is suitable for both right-hand and left-hand door leaves, as well as for doors made of aluminium, timber, and PVC.
