Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH has announced an expansion of its range for modern timber windows. The company has added two new comfort ventilation window versions based on the concealed Roto NX | C hinge side.
The new models are designed for window manufacturers seeking to combine ease of use, functionality and a neat appearance. Both versions — Turn-Only and Tilt-Only — are suitable for timber profile systems with a 13 mm hardware axis and a recommended rebate depth of 30 mm.
Each version features an extended ergonomic handle positioned in the lower section of the horizontal profile. This allows the window to be opened even while seated. The hardware package also includes a sash retainer and a special striker plate that simplifies opening the window. An additional system component is the ventilation gap restrictor.
Both versions enable controlled room ventilation while preventing the sash from accidentally opening fully. The Tilt-Only version supports sash weights of up to 80 kg, while the Turn-Only version supports up to 100 kg.
In the Turn-Only version, rotating the handle by 180° automatically opens the sash to a fixed 80 mm position. To open the window wider — up to 90° — the ventilation gap restrictor must be manually released.
The Tilt-Only version operates on the same principle. Rotating the handle by 180° opens the sash by 80 mm. To continue tilting the sash up to 90°, the restrictor must also be manually released.
The Tilt-Only version is suitable for sash widths from 640 to 1400 mm and heights from 620 to 1600 mm. The Turn-Only version is designed for widths from 680 to 1400 mm and heights from 530 to 1600 mm. This enables manufacturers to produce both narrow, tall and standard window formats.
All hinge-side hardware components are positioned inside the sash rebate. When the window is closed, the hardware remains invisible. This meets the aesthetic requirements of modern interiors.
