EFI Group reports that NovaSklo has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Italian company Italcarrelli. The document provides for the supply of five units of specialised equipment for the internal warehouse logistics of the future float glass plant in Ukraine.
Italcarrelli will supply two Inloaders and three Sideloaders — machines designed to handle glass packs measuring up to 3,300 × 12,000 mm. This equipment will be used to transport flat glass within the manufacturing facility.
The agreement was reached during a visit by the NovaSklo team to Italcarrelli’s production facilities in Italy. During the visit, the parties discussed material handling solutions for the flat glass industry and exchanged expertise.
“The selection of a specialised warehouse equipment supplier is an important milestone in the implementation of the NovaSklo project. We are steadily building a network of international partners with decades of experience in the glass industry who will help us establish a modern, safe and efficient world-class manufacturing facility in Ukraine,” said Ihor Liski, founder of EFI Group, the company developing NovaSklo.
Representatives of Italcarrelli also emphasised the importance of the partnership. “We were pleased to welcome the NovaSklo team to our production facilities for a meaningful exchange of expertise on internal material handling in the flat glass industry. We are proud that this meeting resulted in an agreement to supply Inloaders and Sideloaders for a new large-scale float glass manufacturing plant,” Italcarrelli said in a statement.
NovaSklo has previously taken steps to build its network of partners. In particular, equipment manufacturers signed a cooperation agreement for the launch of a float glass plant in Ukraine.
The memorandum with Italcarrelli marks another stage in preparations for equipping the plant with production and logistics machinery.
