Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH has announced the launch of its new square-edge threshold model, the Eifel TB | Edge. It complements the existing rounded Eifel TB | Curve model within the company's threshold range for external and balcony doors.
The Roto Eifel TB threshold range features an installation height of 20 mm. The thresholds are compatible with timber and PVC doors across a wide range of profile depths. They are suitable for both single- and double-leaf doors opening either inwards or outwards and can be used in both new-build and renovation projects.
Both the Curve and the new Edge models are available with the anodised aluminium Design weather bar. It channels rainwater away from the door and helps protect the interior against moisture. The thermally broken threshold reduces heat loss while providing protection against draughts, noise, dirt and moisture.
The thresholds are compatible with Deventer automatic drop seals. These are designed for door systems with a 12 mm hardware groove and are concealed within the hardware channel. The range includes three models: the DDM 1212 with an installation height of 12 mm, together with the self-adjusting DDS 1220 and DDS 1230 drop seals, which are screw-fixed from below. From the outside, only the aluminium cover strip is visible, concealing the black PVC sealing profile. No additional metal or plastic brackets are required.
All three drop seals feature one-sided release, making them easy to trim and adjust. The internal mechanism can be completely removed from the release side even after installation, without removing the door from its hinges and without using any tools.
The Roto Eifel TB threshold range can be combined with the concealed Roto NX | C hinge for tilt-and-turn sashes. This makes it possible to create a barrier-free transition while maintaining a consistent door design.
