German company Gretsch-Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge (GU) has launched a GU threshold for the Rehau Synego profile system featuring a new seal option and integrated drainage in the rebate. This was announced by the company.
According to the manufacturer, the new development means that the GU SBS and GU SBS bb (barrier-free) thresholds are now available as complete systems for Rehau Synego.
GU SBS is the basic thermally broken system threshold for entrance and balcony doors. The thermal break reduces moisture formation indoors and improves the energy efficiency of the installation. The barrier-free version additionally features sealing levels contoured to the profile and integrated drainage within the element, providing protection against water penetration at pressures of up to 600 Pa without additional drainage.
For PVC systems, the company offers pre-assembled threshold kits.
Previously, REHAU introduced the barrier-free EASYSTEP 80 LS threshold for its ARTEVO and SYNEGO profile systems.
