profine Group, owner of the Kömmerling brand, and door hinge manufacturer Dr. Hahn have entered into a strategic partnership. The German companies plan to jointly develop components for modern door systems. This was announced by profine Group.
The first stage of the partnership is cooperation in sales. From September 2026, Kömmerling customers will be able to order Dr. Hahn surface-mounted and roller hinges directly for the manufacture of PVC doors. The companies have not specified the countries in which the cooperation will apply. Sales of Dr. Hahn hinges through Kömmerling will most likely cover the countries where Kömmerling supplies profile systems.
Going forward, the companies plan to coordinate door hinge and profile system technologies as early as the development stage. According to profine Group, this should help to develop products that comply with regulatory requirements and take future European standards into account.

The current cooperation in sales is the first step, giving us the opportunity to deepen our collaboration and develop system products whose technical and functional characteristics go far beyond those of conventional individual components,” said Dr Peter Mrosik, Managing Partner of profine Group.
For Kömmerling, the partnership also expands the range of components that door manufacturers can source from a single supplier. Dr. Hahn, in turn, gains the opportunity to coordinate its door hinges with Kömmerling profile systems during the development process.

Cooperation between profile system and hardware manufacturers makes it possible to ensure component compatibility before products are launched on the market.
