Italian glass processing equipment manufacturer TK has announced the new TK Lamijet Hybrid PRO 04-3C lamination furnace. The company developed it for a customer in North America and adapted the design to the layout of its production facility and the required production volumes. The model demonstrates one direction in the development of glass lamination equipment — combining several working chambers in a single unit.
The TK Lamijet Hybrid PRO 04-3C combines radiant and convective heating. The furnace also features rapid heating and cooling systems.
The model’s main design feature is three separate working chambers within a single unit. The lower chamber has two working trays, while the other two have one each.
This configuration makes it possible to run different glass lamination cycles simultaneously. According to TK, this helps reduce processing time, handle high production volumes and lower staffing costs.
For manufacturers producing several types of laminated glass or working with different production requirements, the ability to run cycles in parallel can be important when planning equipment utilisation.
The company has also changed the design of the furnace housing. It now features smoother lines and updated exterior elements.
TK specialises in equipment for glass lamination, thermal and chemical strengthening, as well as Heat Soak Testing. According to the company, its equipment is used by more than 290 customers in over 70 countries.
