German company Triflex has demonstrated various applications for its polymethyl methacrylate-based liquid plastic at BAU. One of them focused on sealing windows without thresholds.

It reinforced the window sealing system with fleece. A special fleece has placed between two layers of Triflex ProDetail liquid plastic. This allows the seal to absorb the expansion of the material without damage.

The company tested the product at ift Rosenheim. The use of Triflex ProDetail with fleece in the threshold area tested in combination with a window profile, insulation, and drainage. Triflex claims that even in extreme conditions, moisture did not get inside.

The tests have carried out by the guidelines for flat roofs or DIN 18531 and DIN 18533. The system also meets the requirements of the ift MO-01/1 guideline.
