On April 4, the "SMART Plaza" shopingmall opened for visitors. A certain contribution to the creation of this complex was made by the team of PEC Group. Together with the company "Officebud" and the concern "Sakura", dome coverings of roof lantern with a total area of more than 350 square meters were developed and manufactured using the technology of double-glazed units with higher stiffness. The use of double-glazed units with higher stiffness made it possible to significantly increase the dimensions of individual fragments of glazing. The length of the side of the trapezoidal segments reaches 2.83 m, and the area of the segment lying horizontally more than 4 m. The idea of the architects who placed the load-carrying structures of the roof lantern from the outside made them develop an original suspension system that, on the one hand, provided the necessary strength and thermal characteristics, on the other hand, thanks to the system of local adjustment of the bearing elements, made it possible to reduce the errors in the openings and mounted metal structures.
