Shareholders of both companies have approved the proposal by Quanex Building Products Corporation to acquire Tyman.
Quanex, which is the parent company of warm edge spacer manufacturer Edgetech, is a global manufacturer of components for the window, door, vinyl fencing, solar energy, refrigeration, and cabinet markets.
Tyman International is a supplier of hardware and seals for the door and window industry. The company owns several brands, including the window and door hardware manufacturer Giesse and seal manufacturer Schlegel.
Tyman serves customers through three regional divisions: North America, the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
Internal preparations for the integration of the two companies are currently underway. The deal is expected to close in August 2024.
Edgetech and Giesse will become subsidiaries of the same company
