NSG Group, known for its Pilkington brand products, has developed a new glass line called HomeComfort to improve household comfort. The product will be presented at the Glasstec 2024 exhibition.
One of the key products in the series is HeatComfort, glass with an NSG TEC™ conductive coating, which provides heating through infrared radiation. This solution helps reduce heat loss in winter, making homes warmer and more comfortable. While it doesn't change the window’s U-value, this technology can improve a home's energy efficiency, combining comfort with sustainability.
Another product in the HomeComfort range is LuxComfort, which integrates blinds into the glass panels. These help reduce cooling costs in summer. During hot months, LuxComfort blocks sunlight to prevent overheating, while in winter it lets heat from the sun in, reducing heating costs. This solution provides year-round comfort and helps lower energy consumption.
Additionally, the HomeComfort program was developed to allow control of the microclimate via a mobile app. For example, you can turn on the heating or lower the blinds before coming home. This is convenient and helps maintain a comfortable temperature at any time of the year.
NSG Group plans to further expand the HomeComfort range.
