The ASSA ABLOY Group has announced the acquisition of Gesellschaft für Sicherheitstechnik mbH (GFS), a German company developing emergency exit security technologies for commercial, industrial, and public buildings. The company's press office reported the news.
GFS is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of evacuation route security systems and door hardware components. It will continue to operate as an independent business unit under its existing management team.
For ASSA ABLOY, this acquisition represents an expansion of its product portfolio in Europe.
GFS has been operating since 1977 and employs around 20 people. Its headquarters and production facilities are located in Hamburg. In 2024, the company's sales amounted to approximately €12 million.
