The press office of German partition manufacturer feco has announced a new development — the fecotür Air interior door. It combines air exchange and sound insulation in one door leaf. The innovation was presented during BAU 2025.
The fecotür Air door enables room ventilation even when the door is closed, thanks to narrow slot connections at the top and bottom of the door leaf. Air passes through these via a system of winding channels with specially designed inlet and outlet openings located on opposite sides. This slot structure muffles sound.
According to the company, the door can achieve air exchange rates of up to 180 m³/h at a pressure of 15 Pa. At the same time, the sound insulation reaches 37 dB, and with reduced airflow — even up to 40 dB.
The fecotür Air door can be integrated with various glass or wooden partitions.
“We wanted to combine the demands of ventilation and acoustic comfort without compromising on design. fecotür Air allows us to do this efficiently and with technical precision,” the company statement reads.
