On 10–11 June 2026, the Rosenheim Door and Gate Days will take place in Germany. The programme of the event was announced by the ift Rosenheim institute. The organisers have prepared 21 presentations on changes in the door and gate sector and on the challenges facing the construction market.
The event will focus on the transition to a circular economy, the resilience of buildings to climate risks, automation, the use of artificial intelligence and infrastructure security. Speakers will present an overview of the market, technical developments and regulatory requirements.
Professor Winfried Heusler (Prof. Dr. Winfried Heusler) will dedicate his presentation to the topic “Into the future with knowledge and experience”. He will examine how new requirements are influencing the door and gate industry.
Experts will also discuss updates to standards and legislation. This includes the new Machinery Regulation, fire safety requirements following the revision of the Construction Products Regulation, and new standards for doors, gates and glass structures.
Separate thematic sessions will cover fire safety, standardisation, automation and environmental approaches in construction. The programme also includes presentations on the use of artificial intelligence in door and gate systems, digital door design, access security and the practice of designing glass structures.
Specialists will also address new requirements for building resilience. Topics include protection against cyberattacks, testing of doors and gates for vandal resistance, and the security of building engineering systems.
Market issues will also remain in focus during the discussions. Experts will examine the prospects for residential construction in 2026–2027 and the impact of this segment on demand for doors and gates.
Earlier, ift Rosenheim also reported on another industry event — the specialised exhibition climate.secure.building at Fensterbau Frontale 2026.
