At the Fensterbau Frontale 2026 exhibition, Winkhaus presented a new version of the activPilot Comfort PADKM hardware for parallel sash offset, OKNA.ua reports.
The new system combines classic manual window operation with electric sash projection. Externally, the construction looks like a standard tilt-and-turn window, but during ventilation the sash does not tilt; instead, it moves parallel to the frame. This principle ensures natural air exchange. According to Winkhaus, the Fraunhofer Institute confirms that the resulting gap is sufficient for effective room ventilation. Moreover, in ventilation mode the window maintains burglar resistance up to RC2.
The ventilation mode can operate independently of the handle.
The design предусматриває the placement of special locking elements around the perimeter of the window. The manufacturer has integrated motors into them, which move the sash.
The system can also be integrated into a smart home.
A new bottom hinge has been developed for the parallel offset function, allowing sash projection with continuous load transfer from the sash to the frame.
At Fensterbau Frontale, Ivan Bohdan, Managing Director of Winkhaus Ukraine, stated that the system is not yet available on the Ukrainian market. At the same time, the company plans to offer it to Ukrainian manufacturers in the future.
It should be noted that Ukrainian companies are also represented at the exhibition.
The specialised platform OKNA.ua, together with the Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures (UMTS), organised the national stand of Ukraine (Hall 6 | Stand 6-129).
