Gretsch-Unitas GmbH (GU) has launched a new hardware component — a locking bolt for slot ventilation. It is designed for lift-and-slide doors and enables safe room ventilation without fully opening the door.
The bolt is compatible with timber, uPVC and metal lift-and-slide systems. It secures the door in the ventilation position while simultaneously keeping an additional locking point engaged in the closed position. This increases protection against unauthorised entry.
According to the manufacturer, the device is maintenance-free. It can also be retrofitted to already installed doors without replacing the entire hardware system.
Among the stated advantages are simple and fast operation, reliable locking in the ventilation position and long-term trouble-free performance.
At the same time, WINKHAUS offers the activPilot Comfort PADM hardware system, which creates an almost invisible 6 mm gap and ensures natural air exchange inside the building.
