Ukrainian PVC profile manufacturer Miroplast plans to use recycled plastic in its production. The co-extruded profile reduces the carbon footprint. It is in line with the global trend.
According to the press centre of TM WDS, the first stage of modernisation production was carried out. Some of the equipment has upgraded to a more technologically advanced one with the possibility of coextrusion. The company will use secondary raw materials for the inner part of the profile and primary raw materials for the outer part.
Miroplast notes that “by recycling old PVC windows and doors and waste from our own production, we can produce profiles in a more environmentally friendly way, reducing the amount of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.” Currently, there is no plant in Ukraine that recycles old windows and doors. The question remains: will Miroplast be the first to launch such a line in the country?
