At the international window trade fair FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, the Siegenia hardware brand presented a smart window handle.
The company has updated the window handles that are turned manually. Now the handle can turn independently and can also be remotely locked without a key. They support the Matter communication standard and can be added to smart home systems.
Among the functions Siegenia lists are monitoring of the handle status, remote access, timer, etc. For example, you can block a window handle in a child's room.
In Ukraine, windows are required to be equipped with locking devices to ensure the safety of children. The relevant requirement is set out in Amendment No. 1 to DBN B.2.2-15:2019 "Residential buildings. Main provisions" (ua)↗️.
The handle is suitable for wooden and plastic windows and is powered by a battery. За даними компанії, наразі розумна віконна ручка проходить тестування на відповідність механічним вимогам класу зламостійкості RC2.
