The hardware brand Gretsch-Unitas has announced the release of the new A-opener door closer for use with SECURY self-locking multipoint locks. It is designed for entrance doors in residential buildings, offices, and public buildings where high-security requirements are essential.
The new product is also suitable for barrier-free construction in accordance with the German standard DIN 18040 "Construction of accessible buildings." The A-opener can be installed as an additional motor for SECURY self-locking locks, allowing remote door unlocking without the use of a key.
The hardware brand Winkhau also allows the control of entrance doors via smartphone.
As of July 2024, Gretsch-Unitas has begun gradually introducing the A-opener into production as a replacement for the previous model. According to the description, the door closer is compatible with previous models and can be installed either during production or as an additional option.
