VBH Deutschland GmbH has announced plans for a phased shutdown of its operations by the end of 2025. The company made the announcement on 6 August, informing employees of the inability to find an investor or another continuation strategy. Earlier, on 1 July 2025, the court in Ludwigsburg opened insolvency proceedings under self-administration.
Until the end of October, customers will be able to place orders, which the company intends to fulfil as usual. After that, VBH Deutschland GmbH will complete product shipments and begin an orderly wind-down of operations. Managing director Fekke van Dijk stressed that the transition period should allow customers time to switch to other players in the window market.
The company’s second managing director, Bernd Grupp, thanked employees for their dedicated work, especially in recent months, and noted that the liquidation process will be coordinated with suppliers and contractors. For employees whose jobs will be lost by year-end, a compensation package is currently being agreed, with negotiations in the final stage.
VBH Deutschland GmbH supplies window and door manufacturers with a full range of products and system solutions for production and installation, including the greenteQ brand, as well as products for security systems. The company is part of the VBH Group, which operates in more than 20 countries and is actively expanding its business outside Germany. The closure applies only to the German division.
