Price increase for double-glazed windows
New batches of glass for the production of double-glazed windows have become more expensive. Thus, tinted glass, which is mostly imported from the European, has already risen in price by approximately 50-55 UAH/m2 in February. This also applies to all varieties: multifunctional and reflective tinted glass. The main reason is the increase in energy prices in Europe. Also, transparent glass, the main import of which is Bulgaria and Turkey, has also risen in price by approximately 25 UAH/m2 as of today. In addition, importers expect a rise in the price of transparent glass from March of this year by another 25 UAH/m2. That is, this will be reflected even more significantly in the cost of double-glazed windows, taking into account the number of panes (recall that to achieve the degree of energy saving according to the latest standards, there must be at least three panes in a double-glazed window, two of which must have an energy-saving coating) and the glass waste rate during cutting.
