The Ukrainian translation and editing of the German "Guide to the Design and Installation of Windows and Entrance Doors for New Buildings and Renovations" have been completed. The guide is currently being printed.
The "Ukrainian Association of Transparent Construction Manufacturers," in cooperation with the German institute ift Rosenheim and with the support of leading companies in the transparent construction industry, has successfully completed the project.
The book provides information on modern installation methods for transparent constructions in accordance with RAL standards. It covers building physics, waterproofing, sound insulation, dismantling, material reuse, extension fastenings, French balcony safety, and new sealing systems.
The Ukrainian translation project began in January 2024, with experts working on the 2020 version of the RAL installation guide. However, after the updated guide was presented at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2024, the Ukrainian team decided to translate and publish the latest information. This led to adjustments in the project's cost and timeline.
