The Association of Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures (UMTS) in collaboration with the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA) has begun working on the establishment of a training class for the preparation of engineers for transparent constructions at the university. The joint initiative was presented at the general assembly of the association. Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures and KNUCA also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The goal is to prepare specialists in the specialties G17 “Architecture and Urban Planning” and G19 “Construction and Civil Engineering.” This includes updating educational programs, modernizing laboratories and classrooms, as well as implementing dual education — classroom theory and practical training at enterprises.
The work on launching the training class is expected to take place in 2025-2026.
Reynaers Aluminium Ukraine, the representative of the Belgian manufacturer of aluminium systems for windows, doors, facades, and winter gardens, will be involved in training students in practical skills.
This educational initiative is part of the national project WindowED, which aims to develop vocational education in the field of transparent constructions.
