Schüco International KG strengthens position in building modernisation

In July 2025, Schüco International KG announced its involvement in the German subsidiary Asset Transformation GmbH, which is owned by Priedemann Holding GmbH. With this move, Schüco is strengthening its presence in the building modernisation market by offering investors and operators of residential and commercial properties a full range of services for the renewal of façades and building structures.

According to estimates by the European Commission, 85–95% of existing buildings will still be in use in 2050 and must be upgraded to meet current energy standards. Schüco sees this as both an opportunity and a challenge for the industry – and offers tools for efficient refurbishment, including profile systems, energy-efficient glazing and digital support at every stage of the modernisation process.

Asset Transformation GmbH acts as a general contractor in reconstruction projects. The company covers architectural and engineering expertise, process management, data collection and analysis, digital transformation, and increasing building energy efficiency. These services are offered independently of Schüco and Priedemann.

In addition to investing in the joint venture, Schüco is actively developing the Value Up programme – a comprehensive service and product package for refurbishment, aimed at extending the lifecycle of buildings and reducing construction waste. Today, almost 50% of global waste comes from the construction sector, and upgrading buildings is one way to foster sustainability.
