These standards define a profession that covers the full scope of work — from preparing openings and layout to installation, insulation, sealing, quality control and project handover. The listed tasks include installation of façades, window-door and curtain wall systems, skylights, as well as fitting hardware and suspended elements.
The standards are expected to serve as a foundation for developing training programmes and educational standards, enabling the preparation of qualified specialists for the industry.
The profession corresponds to several types of economic activity, including:
- other construction and specialised building works (NACE 43.29, 43.99)
- completion of construction projects (43.39)
- mechanical treatment of metal products (25.62)
- production of metal doors, windows and structures (25.11, 25.12)
As a reminder, in September 2024, the Association of Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures announced the development of professional standards for training specialists in the field of transparent structures.
