Guardian Europe has announced the launch of its new glass coating — Guardian ViewBoost™, which transmits more light and reflects less, all while maintaining the energy-efficient properties of the glass. This innovation targets companies operating in the window market, particularly those producing windows, insulating glass units, and façade systems.
According to the company, ViewBoost™ increases light transmission by 4% and reduces both external and internal reflection by 4%, compared to standard insulating glass units based on SunGuard™ glass. The coating is designed as an additional layer: applied to the inner pane in single-glazed IGUs and the central pane in double-glazed IGUs.
The coating allows more natural daylight to enter buildings, reducing the need for artificial lighting. Crucially, it preserves high selectivity: the glass transmits light effectively without causing indoor overheating.
