The Association of Ukrainian Manufacturers of Transparent Structures has launched cooperation with the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA). The goal of the partnership is to improve educational programmes, strengthen scientific and technical collaboration, and engage students in practical professional activities in the field of window and door structures.
During the meeting, Executive Director of the Association Mykhailo Orlenko and Rector of KNUCA Oleksii Dniprov discussed areas of cooperation, particularly the strengthening of ties between business and the educational environment. The meeting also featured the presentation of a professional guide on window and door installation — an example of the Association’s practical contribution to the development of students' professional competencies.
The rector had previously announced intentions to implement dual education, which combines academic training with practical experience at enterprises. According to Oleksii Dniprov, this model is increasingly attracting Ukrainian employers who want to train specialists in line with their own needs while they are still studying.
"There is a clear understanding: to attract personnel with the necessary competencies, one must participate in their training during their education," the rector emphasised.
The Association, in turn, already has experience in educational initiatives — in cooperation with the Kyiv Vocational College of Civil Engineering, the organisation is creating Ukraine’s first educational and practical centre for window and door installation.
The new cooperation with KNUCA is the next step in forming a systemic approach to industry-specific education, taking into account market challenges and focusing on the high-quality training of professionals.
