SCHÜCO International KG has reported that the FocusIng PVC-U window system is now also available as a central gasket system — Schüco FocusIng MD. The company notes that the innovation enhances thermal insulation.
With the introduction of the MD version, Schüco has turned FocusIng into a “double system” for PVC-U windows and balcony doors. The manufacturer offers variants with two or three sealing levels. The design also focuses on a high recycled content and economical use of material.
Schüco states that the profiles are produced with a recycled content of up to 50%. The recycled material comes either from old PVC-U windows after dismantling, or from production offcuts generated during the manufacture of profiles and windows. FocusIng carries the Vinyl verified label, enabling customers to more quickly identify products with clearly defined “green” characteristics.
For even lower CO2 figures, the company offers bio-attributed PVC-U from renewable feedstocks. Here, crude oil is replaced by tall oil, which is generated as a by-product of the pulp and paper industry. Schüco classifies these materials within the Schüco Carbon Control package, which aims to reduce emissions from the building envelope.
Schüco also highlights FocusIng’s compatibility with LivIng and CT 70 profiles. The company positions the system for new-build projects and refurbishment.

Glazing thickness: from 10 mm to 54 mm.
This allows the profile to achieve a Uf value of up to 1.0 W/(m²K) and the window — a Uw of up to 0.80 W/(m²K) with the corresponding double glazing unit.
