Forster, part of Reynaers Group Aluminium Systems, has reported that the steel façade system forster thermfix vario, with burglary resistance class up to RC4, has successfully passed a 60-minute fire-resistance test and confirmed an EI60 rating.
Forster showcased the system at the international BAU 2025 trade fair. The company is positioning the new product for projects requiring large glazed areas, plenty of natural light, and enhanced burglary protection.
Forster highlights the combination of two characteristics in one product: RC4 burglary resistance and fire resistance up to EI60. At the same time, the system retains slim visible profile widths from 45 mm, helping to create a façade with the lightest possible visual appearance.
For thermal insulation and fire resistance, the system supports multifunctional fire-resistant glazing with thermal insulation from POLFLAM sp. z o.o. Forster also states that watertightness, air permeability and resistance to wind loads match the parameters of the standard thermfix vario façade system.
