SIEGENIA GRUPPE has announced the launch of a new production hall in Hermeskeil, Germany, aimed at responding more quickly to the growing demand for sliding systems. The company opened the building exactly one year after laying the foundation stone and held an official ceremony for employees.
The new hall manufactures glass fibre reinforced plastic thresholds (GRP thresholds) for the COMFORT UNIT service and expands the PORTAL range for sliding doors. At the opening, Head of PORTAL Production Uwe Ziewers emphasised that the new facility strengthens the role of the location and supports stable demand for SIEGENIA lift-and-slide components.
The area of the new production hall is around 1,000 m². It carries out the full production cycle for GRP thresholds – from cutting to drilling. As early as the first quarter of 2026, the manufacturer plans to offer six new models, including versions in black. By the end of 2026, all ECO PASS thresholds will be available in a GRP version.
In addition to GRP thresholds, the motorised DRIVE axxent LS pull-in unit is also produced here. This organisation of work makes it possible to optimally combine all stages of assembly.
SIEGENIA has been developing its production base in Hermeskeil since 2011. Over this period, the site has become a centre for the manufacture of hardware and thresholds for sliding doors, as well as a key part of the COMFORT UNIT service, which provides the supply of a complete set of components within a single order for window and door manufacturers.
